摘要：目前我国已经成为了海外旅行的重要目的地,旅游翻译承担着极其重要的使命,但是到现在为止的绝大多数旅游翻译研究文章,大都局限在怎样把中文文本翻译成英语文本上,而没有提出翻译对象即翻什么的问题。根据翻译功能主义的理论,应该根据海外游客的偏好,抛开中文文本而直接对景观文本进行英语翻译与教学。
China has become an important destination for overseas traveling; and tourism translation bears an extremely important mission. However, so far most of tourism translation research articles have been confined on how to translate the Chinese texts into English texts, and did not put forward the translation object. This paper argues that, based on the theory of Functional Translation, it should be taught and translated directly to their English texts according to the language nature, hut not on Chinese texts only.
