摘要:In recent years, many researches have been undertaken in the field of LTE-A(Long Term Evolution Advanced) radio network planning (RNP). However, advanced techniques such as coordinated transmission (CP) have been used in the LTE/LTE-A system which entailed a set of new challenges for RNP. CP technologies have been shown not only achieve high data rates but also highly benefits in terms of cellular capacity, Co-Channel interference management and cell edge user experience. However, to realize the benefits of CP in actual cellular networks, radio networks must be different from traditional radio networks. As a result, the traditional cellular networks planning schemes would not been suitable for the current radio networks. In this paper, the GA(Genetic Algorithm) is used to address the problem of radio base station location planning, which focuses on minimizing the cost of cellular networks and the power consumption meanwhile meet certain coverage and capacity constraints satisfaction. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme can reduce the energy consumption and downsize the structure of the Base Stations (BSs) effectively, and then it can be applied to various types of networks.
