摘要:In order to achieve up to 1 Gb/s peak data rate in future IMT-Advanced mobile systems, the carrier aggregation technique is introduced by the 3GPP to support very-high-data-rate transmissions over wide frequency bandwidths (e.g., up to 100 MHz) in LTE-Advanced standards. In this paper, we formulate a modified resource allocation optimization problem with carrier aggregation in Fourth Generation Long Term Evolution (4G-LTE). Utility proportional fairness resource allocation scheme has been proposed and illustrated in the past study. It will guarantee the Quality of Service (QoS), but it just discusses the situation that there are two carriers. As a result of the existence of a fragmented spectrum, we consider aggregating more than two carriers to offer a wider bandwidth and higher data rate. Therefore, we present a carrier aggregation rate allocation algorithm to allocate three carriers resources optimally among users. Finally, we prove an important theorem and the improvement of the transmission rate is verified by the simulation results. ? 2015 Taylor & Francis Group, London.
