摘要:A Large quantities of bauxite, limestone mine, electricity, steam and water as raw material are consumed in the process of alumina production, with waste gas, waste water and solid waste and other pollutants from the process which contaminates the environment at the same time. Due to its high resources and energy consumption and serious pollution, alumina industry is one of the highest pollution and consumption enterprises. According to the characteristic of alumina production, a series of clean production technology for research and application were carried out such as the raw materials use, process improvement, equipment updating, and waste recycling etc. by Guizhou branch of CHALCO. After the implementation, unit product water, electricity, steam consumption reduced to: 1.13 t/t, 418 KWh/t, 2.59 t/t, respectively. And thus decreased by 77.7%, 7.5%, 39.2% than before. The dust emissions reduce to 0.52 kg/t, 55.6% lower than before. The implementation achieves targets of energy saving and emission reduction.
