摘要:This study investigated the mechanical properties and thermal conductivity of compacted graphite cast iron (CGI) with different pearlite concentrations. Four casts with different pearlite contents (4.12, 24.62, 53.24 and 87.74%) were obtained using heat treatments. As the pearlite content of the specimens increased from 4.12 to 87.74%, the tensile strength and hardness increased from 290.6 to 546.5 MPa, and from 114.3 to 238.6 HBS, respectively. The microscopic fracture surface observations of the CGI revealed that the quantity of tear ridges and cleavage planes decreased and increased, respectively, with an increasing pearlite concentration. The thermal conductivity decreased by 22.56% with an increasing pearlite content at the applied temperatures. Nevertheless, the thermal conductivity initially increased and then decreased with an increasing temperature, and its turning point was 473 K. Finally, the influencing mechanism of the pearlite content on the strength and thermal conductivity of CGI was illustrated.
